Fiber News & Updates
Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC) and Lake Region Technology & Communications (LRTC) were proud to participate in the Cherokee Nation Apprenticeship Forum on September 16, 2026, at the Cherokee Nation Casino in Tahlequah. JuaNita Keener, Member Services Specialist and Youth Programs Coordinator, represented both LREC and LRTC at the event, connecting with attendees and sharing information about career opportunities in the electric and fiber internet industries. Events like the Apprenticeship Forum provide an opportunity to introduce individuals to career paths in these industries and highlight the importance of developing a skilled workforce for the future. Lake Region is committed to supporting workforce development and helping individuals learn more about career opportunities available in the communities we serve.
We appreciate the Cherokee Nation for hosting this event and providing an opportunity to connect with individuals interested in building their futures right here in northeast Oklahoma.
